Jun/26/2011

We all made it to Amanzimtoti safe and sound! We had a 9 hour flight to London and had some pretty interesting neighbours to sit beside. We then had a short lay over in London and then made our long journey to Johannesburg which was a 10 hour flight. We arrived in the airport and received our luggage with no problems and went straight through customs without any delay, what a blessing!
Leaving the airport, we then made our way to Braam Steyn's place (a friend of Anton's) and a few of us cleaned up and we all shared breakfast together. Braam was a very generous host and provided a huge and delicious breakfast - South African style. We shared stories, prayed together, said our goodbyes, and were on our way. Then we traveled by bus for a six hour drive to Amanzimtoti where we are staying, driven by our excellent driver Piet, who did a very good job keeping us safe on the roads.
Once we arrived and unpacked our supplies and personal luggage into the holiday apartments; and believe me, this was not a simple task thanks to the generosity of Crossroads gifting us with 1000 lbs of fabric and children's clothing! We are so excited to give these supplies to the children and Seed of Hope! Dan Wiens from Seed of Hope also came and visited us shortly and filled us with anticipation of the days to come. We then ate supper together and are going to bed to rid ourselves of some of the jet lag we seemed to have contracted during our long flights.
Please pray for our continued safety as we travel to Seed of Hope together tomorrow and that God would prepare our hearts for what He has planned for us, and that He would put us exactly where He wants each of us and fill us with His Holy Spirit. Also that God would speak through our words and actions as we venture forth!
God bless!
